Now weddings are supposed to have a happy vibe to them…..this one didn’t so much have a happy vibe as a thumping great happy bassline to accompany it!
Weather was just perfect…..a bright but cloudy Sydney day which started at the Groom’s family abode perched high in the tree tops of Bayview up on the Northern Beaches. I wish I got to shoot in houses like this all the time as there was light coming from every angle as the house itself meandered seamlessly from indoors to out. From Bayview we departed to Watsons Bay to meet the bride at the Watsons Bay Hotel. From there it was but a ten minute stroll to the cliff tops of Langs Point, a truly awesome location with the stunning Sydney harbour skyline providing the backdrop.
After the ceremony, the bridal party went for a wander through the quaint streets of Camp Cove for some photos and then on to the Gap Centre, a ten minute walk away. Many thanks to all of you guys for making this such a great wedding to be a part of. Hell, I even got to practice my rusty French!!

Sunday was fun….. a lot of fun…. an Anglo-Russian affair, with guests flying in from some very distant parts of the world to celebrate the wedding of Caz & Hoady.
The setting for the cermony was McKell Park, right on the tip of Point Piper overlooking the harbour; a truly magnificent venue. From there, we headed off to Bradley’s Head to capture a few shots of the new Mr & Mrs Hoady.
Watersedge Restaurant right under the shadow of the Harbour Bridge hosted the post-nuptial celebrations which, I have to say, were by far the liveliest we’ve been lucky enough to photograph this year….must be something in the Vodka!
A big ‘thank-you’ to my good mate Andrew from the truly excellent Follan Photography studio who photographed the groomsmen pre-wedding.
Finally, should anyone who wasn’t there be wondering why Hoady is hiding under a napkin in one of the images below……..I’m sure he’ll happily let you in on the story his best man recounted!

Just got back from the most amazing Wedding. A stunning bride and groom along with some 50 guests flying in from as far away the UK, USA and Australia for a week long celebration. Great to catch up with you guys.
Here’s a few of the images from the Big Day to whet your appetite……. the rest will be appearing shortly via the ‘Client Access‘ section of the website, including the now infamous ‘Tricky’ shot! Feel free to register there now and I’ll email you the when the images are up.
Finally, if you’re thinking of getting married in Bali, do get in touch with Katrina at Bali Weddings International, she did an amazing job of organizing the whole event.
Hope to catch up with you all again sometime, somewhere…….until then, take care!

The weatherforecast was not promising for Peita & Paul’s wedding day. The location was Dawes Point Reserve, right on the harbour foreshore and just under the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Somehow, despite some spectacular storm clouds right overhead during both cermony and photo shoot, the torrential downpour held off until all were safely [...]
Posted On: April 3, 2009Yesterday was a photographer’s dream…..a bride that looked simply stunning, surrounded by her gorgeous entourage, a groom that was not in the least bit camera-shy and a 1958 Chevy Bel Air that this photographer fell in love with. All of which was topped off with a ceremony held at one of the very best locations [...]
Photographing a wedding in the heart of the best city in the world is a fantastic job. Phil & Sarah chose to get married at St Bridgids Church in The Rocks. The Church itself whilst quite dark inside, produced some wonderful naturally lit shots. After the ceremony, we headed up to Observatory Hill and then [...]
Eling Forest Winery in the Southern Highlands was the venue for Natalie & Martin’s Wedding. A truly fantastic location which was blessed with the sunniest of afternoons for the ceremony itself.
The wedding was a relatively small intimate affair held in the Winery’s Rose Garden. Most of the guests took the sensible option of staying locally [...]

It was a simply gorgeous summer’s evening in Cronulla that provided some beautiful light for photographing Peta and her sisters last Saturday. Thanks for making it such a fun shoot - here are a few images from the session…..
